Missions :
        

The Division of Agriculture, Forestry, Wildlife and Environment is responsible for monitoring agricultural, forestry, pastoral, and environmental policies, and fisheries.

In this capacity, it is responsible for the processing and follow-up of files relating to the following activities:

  • Agriculture;
  • Agro industry
  • Basic commodities, cocoa, coffee, cotton, etc.;
  • Diversification of production and farming;
  • Forestry and forestry policy;
  • Wildlife, fisheries and breeding;
  • Environment, protection of nature and biodiversity;
  • Sustainable development;
  • Cooperatives and Chamber of Agriculture;
  • Agricultural and pastoral financing;
  • Training and education on agriculture, breeding, and fisheries;
  • Forest and Wildlife resource processing;
  • Monitoring of the implementation of wildlife, environmental and forest regulations in liaison with the Department of Administrative Affairs and Petitions and, where appropriate, the Department of Regulatory and Statutory Affairs;
  • Technical analysis of applications for logging licenses;
  • Technical analysis of files ranking the national forests and protected areas in liaison with the Department of Administrative Affairs and Petitions.

The Division of Agriculture, Forestry and Environment monitors the activities of ministries in charge of agriculture, livestock, fisheries, animal industries, the environment and forestry, as well as bodies under the authority of these ministries. It also gives opinions on any draft instrument submitted to the Prime Minister, relating to its field of competence.
