Missions :
              

The Division of Education and Research is responsible for the analysis and monitoring of the implementation of Government policy in basic education, secondary education, vocational training in higher education, scientific research and innovation.

In this capacity, it is responsible for the processing and follow-up of files relating to the following activities:

• Organization of nursery, primary, general secondary, vocational and technical education;
• Organization of higher education;
• Functioning of public and private education and training institutions;
• Training and development of personnel in the education sector (fellowships, internships, study tours);
• Follow-up of the problems of scientific research and innovation.

The Division of Education, Teaching and Research covers everything related to all levels of education, including vocational training. To this end, it monitors the activities of the Administrations and bodies concerned with these sectors of activity. It also advises on any draft instrument submitted to the Prime Minister relating to its field of competence.
