THE MINISTER DELEGATE AT THE PRESIDENCY OF THE REPUBLIC IN CHARGE OF DEFENCE is in charge of elaborating the implementation of the national defence policy.   

His duties therefore, include:

- studying the defence policy;

- implementing the defence policy;

- coordinating and controlling forces of law and order;

- organising and operating military tribunals;

- monitoring military cooperation.
