THE MINISTER OF SMALL AND MEDIUM-SIZED ENTERPRISES,

SOCIAL ECONOMY AND HANDICRAFT is responsible for the preparation and implementation of Government policy in the development of small and medium-sized enterprises, social economy and handicraft.

To this effect, he is in charge of:

- promoting and supervising small and medium-sized enterprises and handicraft;

- identifying and studying the migration opportunities of actors from the informal sector to handicraft and micro enterprises;

- developing social economy;

- promoting the spirit of enterprise and private initiative;

- promoting products from small and medium-sized enterprises and handicraft, in liaison with the relevant professional organizations;

- constituting, in liaison with professional organizations, a data and project base for investors in the small and medium-sized enterprises and handicrafts sectors;

- promoting handicraft;

- monitoring the activity of organizations assisting small and medium-sized enterprises and handicraft;

- monitoring professional organizations of small and medium-sized

enterprises and handicraft;

- monitoring the evolution of the informal sector and related studies;

- studying every measure aimed at favouring information and training actors in the informal sector.
