Since the signing of the partnership agreement on 12 August 2011 between China and Cameroon, consolidated by the laying of the foundation stone on 3 August 2012 by the President of the Republic, the construction of the Lom-Pangar dam started.  The total cost of this work is estimated at CFAF 247 billion and its filling is planned for July 2014.
